Ekko is a dancer and dancemaker currently based in Brooklyn, NY
Originally from South Florida, Ekko is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She has collaborated with esteemed dancemakers including Emma Portner, Celia Rowlson-Hall, Aszure Barton, James Finnemore, Ken Ossola, Norbert De La Cruz III, and Jennifer Archibald. As a dancer, she has performed internationally at Orsolina28, the b12 Festival at DOCK 11, and the Henny Jurriëns Studio Festival, as well as at various theaters across the US.
A prolific choreographer, Ekko’s newest work Month eight (commissioned by Lam Dance Works) premiered in May 2026 at the Paramount Center in Boston, MA. In addition to her commissioned work, she has presented at 92NY’s Future Dance Festival, New Century Dance Project Festival, and Boston Conservatory.
Ekko’s creative world spans many types of media and form. Her practice includes music-making (singing, guitar, & piano playing), painting, & writing; she is always expanding her modes of creation. Most recently, Ekko worked beside Mona Fastvold and Celia Rowlson-Hall to create a short film for Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales: #31, a series highlighting female directors.
In 2025, Ekko co-founded eni artist collective with her lifelong creative partner, Nicholas LaMaina. The non-profit organization had its premiere at Triskelion Arts (Brooklyn, NY) in April 2026 and is currently hosting educational workshops in the US while harnessing a community of collaboration in New York City & Brooklyn .
